Unbelievable. A student walking home from school in Pleasant Grove was hit by a full size semi with a belly dump trailer and the driver fled the scene. The accident happened at about 2:30 this afternoon at 600 West and Center Street. The truck driver made a wide turn, hit the girl, and kept going.

The girl's foot was severed in the accident and she was life-flighted to Primary Children's Medical Center in critical condition. If you have any information on the identity or location of the truck driver, contact the Pleasant Grove Police Department.
